This commemorative minted 500F Belgian Franc coin (Five Kings) was a non-circulating coin issued to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Independence. Large numbers were issued in Belgium. On the obverse side of the coin are the heads of the five kings of Belgium facing left in separate medallions. To the left is printed the years of jubilee. The reverse side shows a map of Belgium inscribed with text in French. All versions of this commemorative coin were printed with French and Dutch languages which are two of the official languages of Belgium. In 1990 the commemorative coin was demonetized.
