About Falkland Islands Pounds Exchange
The Falkland Islands Pound (FKP) is the official currency of the Falkland Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic, pegged at parity with sterling. We accept all denominations of Falkland Islands Pound banknotes and coins, including older series and damaged notes.
Current Falkland Islands Pound Banknotes
Current Falkland Islands Pound banknotes feature wildlife and landmarks distinctive to the islands and carry modern security features such as holographic strips and watermarks. Unlike many other British Overseas Territory currencies — such as Gibraltar Pounds — the Falkland Islands Pound is rarely seen on the UK high street, so we are one of the few places you can exchange it with confidence. We accept all denominations across the current series.
Old Series & Damaged Notes
Unlike most high street exchanges, we accept withdrawn and older-series Falkland Islands Pound banknotes, as well as notes that are worn or damaged. We apply the 50% intact rule — provided at least half the note is present, we will make you an offer, though the rate will be slightly lower than for current notes. If you have other unusual British territory currencies alongside your Falklands notes, we also exchange Isle of Man Pounds and Guernsey Pounds.
Falkland Islands Pound Coins
We accept the full range of Falkland Islands Pound coins, including the 2 Falkland Pound coin and the 1 Falkland Pound coin, as well as all smaller denomination pence coins. Because coins require additional handling and sorting, the rate offered is slightly lower than for banknotes, but we still pay out where most other services would turn you away.
