About Seychellois Rupee Exchange
The Seychellois Rupee (SCR) is the official currency of the Republic of Seychelles, the island nation in the Indian Ocean known as a popular destination for UK holidaymakers. We accept all denominations of Seychellois Rupee banknotes and coins, including older series and damaged notes.
Current Seychellois Rupee Banknotes
The current banknote series, first issued in 2016, features vivid imagery of the Seychelles’ distinctive wildlife and natural landscapes. We accept all denominations in this series, including the 100 SCR note and the 500 SCR note, along with all smaller denominations such as the 25 SCR and 50 SCR notes. Unlike most high street exchanges, we buy back the full range of Seychellois Rupee banknotes rather than cherry-picking only the higher values.
Old Series & Damaged Notes
Unlike many other exchanges, we also buy older, withdrawn Seychellois Rupee banknotes that predate the current 2016 series. Damaged notes are welcome too, provided they remain at least 50% intact. We apply a slightly reduced rate for worn or withdrawn notes to account for the additional processing involved, but we will always make you a clear offer before any exchange is confirmed.
Seychellois Rupee Coins
We accept Seychellois Rupee coins across all circulating denominations, from the smaller centimes right up to the larger rupee coins. Coin exchange rates are slightly lower than for banknotes due to the additional handling costs involved, but this is one area where we differ from many services that turn coins away altogether. If you have returned from the Seychelles with a mix of notes and coins, we can handle the lot.
