This 2 BEF Belgian banknote (Comptes courants) was first issued in 1914 and in 1914 were withdrawn from circulation by the National Bank of Belgium.
This 2 BEF (Comptes courants) standard paper banknote is red and light brown in colour and a simple design with text only. Printed on the obverse side of the note are the words ‘Banque Nationale de Belgique (Comptes courants). These particular 2 Belgian Franc paper banknotes were only issued during World War I. The reverse side of the banknote has the lettering
