Three different denominations of Belgian Franc banknotes were issued by the Belgian Treasury, including this 50 Belgian Francs Treasury Banknote (Buisseret). These treasury Belgian banknotes were part of the demonetised Belgian Franc Treasury banknote series. In 1948 these 20 BEF banknotes were first issued and in 1966 withdrawn from circulation.
This standard paper cinquante francs banknote is green in colour. The front side has a portrait of a farmer and fruit baskets and the reverse side has text 50 FRANK.
