50 Brazilian Cruzados Banknote (Oswalso Cruz) First Issued 1986

Brazilian Cruzado banknotes were issued in different denominations by the Banco Central Do Brasil including this 50 Brazilian Cruzados banknote (Oswaldo Cruz). This 50 BRC banknote forms part of the withdrawn series of Brazilian Cruzados banknotes. This 50 BRC banknote was issued in 1986 and in 1989 were withdrawn from circulation.
The fifty BRC paper banknote on the obverse side has a portrait of Oswaldo Gonçalves Cruz (1872-1917), with a microscope on the left and a round stamp of 50 Cruzados. On the back side is a view of the main building of the Oswaldo Cruz Institute, in Rio de Janeiro, built by the honoree.
