The twenty-sen coin is a mid-value circulating piece of the Brunei dollar, the currency of the Sultanate of Brunei kept at par with the Singapore dollar. Struck in cupro-nickel, it is a silver-coloured coin with a milled edge, larger than the ten-sen piece.
On the obverse, the coin carries the portrait of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah in ceremonial uniform, surrounded by the legend “SULTAN HAJI HASSANAL BOLKIAH”.
On the reverse, a traditional Bruneian ornamental design fills the centre, framed by the legend “KERAJAAN BRUNEI”, the year and the denomination “20 SEN”.
