Brunei 50 Sen (Issued 2010)
The fifty-sen coin is the largest standard circulating denomination of the Brunei dollar, the money of the Sultanate of Brunei. Struck in cupro-nickel, it is a broad silver-coloured coin with a milled edge, the heaviest of the everyday sen pieces.
On the obverse, the coin carries the portrait of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah in ceremonial uniform, encircled by the legend “SULTAN HAJI HASSANAL BOLKIAH”.
On the reverse, a traditional Bruneian ornamental motif occupies the field, surrounded by the legend “KERAJAAN BRUNEI”, the year and the denomination “50 SEN”.
