The Royal Canadian Mint issued Canadian dollar coins in 7 different denominations. Included in this series of coins is this 5 cent Canada coin (nickel). It is part of the Canadian dollar coins series. In 1922 these 0.05 Canadian dollar coins were first issued, and are still in circulation in Canada.
On the obverse side of this 5 cent (nickel) Canadian dollar coin is the portrait of Elizabeth II from when she was 39 years old surrounded with an inscription. The reverse side shows a beaver above both the country name, which is above the date and the value at the top flanked by maple leaves.
