Canadian dollar banknotes were issued in different denominations by the Bank of Canada including this 5 Canadian dollar banknote. This 5 CAD banknote forms part of the current series of Canadian dollar banknotes. This 5 CAD banknote was issued in 2006 and in 2011 was withdrawn from circulation in Canada.
This five Canadian dollars paper banknote on the front has a portrait of Sir Wilfrid Laurier, statesman and Prime Minister of Canada. There is also a watermark with the portrait of Sir Henry Charles Wilfrid Laurier and above the legend a Canadian flag.
