500 Chilean Peso Banknote (Pedro De Valdivia) First Issued 1977

The Quinientos pesos or ‘Quina’ paper banknote is light pink in colour. It was issued to commemorate Spanish missionary and Governor Pedro de Caldivia. On the back of the banknote is an illustration of the founding of Santiago. Wording on the banknote reads:
