5 Chinese Yuan Banknote (Mao)

The 5 Chinese Yuan banknote forms part of the modern Renminbi (RMB) currency series issued by the People’s Bank of China and remains currently in circulation. First introduced in 1999 as part of the fifth series of Renminbi banknotes, it is widely used across mainland China for everyday transactions.

The banknote is printed in a combination of purple, brown, and pastel tones and incorporates modern security features designed to deter counterfeiting.
