50 Chinese Yuan Banknote (1980 – 1996)

The 50 Chinese Yuan banknote issued between 1980 and 1996 forms part of China’s Fourth Series of Renminbi, a landmark issue that reflected the country’s economic reforms and modernisation during the late 20th century. Decorative borders, detailed background patterns, and prominent denomination markers frame the scene.

While these 50 Yuan notes remain legal tender in theory, they are no longer in active circulation and are often classed as withdrawn or legacy banknotes. As a result, many banks and exchange providers outside China will not accept them.
