The twenty lipa coin was a minor denomination of the Croatian kuna, in use from 1994 until Croatia adopted the euro in 2023, with one hundred lipa to the kuna. Struck in nickel-plated steel with a silvery-white colour, it served everyday small change. The coins of this series carry Croatian plants, in keeping with the meaning of lipa, ‘lime tree’. The edge is smooth.

On the obverse a large numeral “20” is set among olive leaves, with “REPUBLIKA HRVATSKA” arched above, the word “LIPA” below, and the small chequy shield of Croatia at the foot within a decorative border.

On the reverse is a fruiting olive branch, with the Croatian name “MASLINA” set around the upper field and the year “2015” at the foot. Odd-dated coins of this series use the plant’s Croatian name.
