10 Danish Krone Old First Issued 1979

The Royal Danish Mint issued Danish Krone coins in different denominations. Included in this series of coins is this 10 Danish Krone coin (Margrethe II). These 10 Danish Krone coins are part of the series of Danish Kroner coins series. These ten Kroner coins were first issued in the year 1979 and in 1988 they were withdrawn from circulation by the Royal Danish Mint.
This 10 Danish Kroner coin is copper-nickel and weighs 12.5g. The obverse side of the coin has a portrait of the Danish Queen – Margrethe II facing right wearing a tiara. The reverse side of the withdrawn 10 Danish Krone coin has the value in large numbers in the centre with a horizontal grid behind and two rye stalks flanking either side.
