This 0.20 cent EUR coin is brass plated and weighs 5.74g, with a diameter of 22.25mm. On the obverse side is a modern adaptation of the Sower, initially designed by Oscar Roty, representing “France, which stays true to itself, whilst integrating into Europe”. It is encircled by the twelve stars of Europe. The reverse side shows a map, next to the face value and symbolises the gathering of the fifteen nations of the European Union.
