Jersey Pound banknotes were issued in different denominations by The State of Jersey, including this 1 Jersey Pound banknote (Mont Orgueil Castle). This 1 JEP banknote forms part of the withdrawn series of Jersey Pound banknotes. This 1 JEP banknote was issued in 1963 and in 1976 was withdrawn from circulation.
On the obverse side of the blue coloured 1pound Jersey banknote is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II at the right of the paper banknote and the Jersey coat of arms, bottom centre. The reverse side of the paper banknote has an image of Mont Orgueil Castle at left and map at bottom right.
