The Bank of Lithuania issued Lithuanian Litas coins in different denominations. Included in this series of Lithuanian Lita coins is this 5 Litai coin Lithuania. These 5 LTL coins were first issued by The Bank of Lithuania in 1998 and in 2014 were withdrawn from circulation.
The five Litai Lithuanian coin is the heaviest weighing 10.1g and is bi-metallic. The obverse side shows the Lithuanian National Coat of Arms and the wording LIETUVA 1998. The reverse side shows the denomination in the centre. The outer circle bears an ornamentation formed from three evenly spaced groups of curved bars.
