Maltese Lira banknotes were issued in different denominations by The Central Bank of Malta, including this 2 Maltese Lira banknote. This 2 MTL banknote forms part of the withdrawn series of Maltese Lira banknotes. This 2 MTL banknote was issued in 1989 and in 2008 was withdrawn from circulation.
