The 10 santimat is a small fractional coin of the Moroccan dirham, one hundred santimat making a dirham. Struck in a golden-coloured brass alloy, it is a small, light coin. It has a plain edge and belongs to the modern santimat coinage.
On the obverse appears the Moroccan coat of arms — a crowned shield bearing the Atlas mountains, a rising sun and a green pentagram, supported by two lions, with Arabic inscriptions around the rim.
On the reverse, the large numeral “10” with its Arabic value sits amid a stylised modern design, with the date in both the Hijri and Gregorian calendars, within a raised rim.
