This 10000 Portuguese Escudos standard paper banknote is orange in colour and on the front side has an image of Dr. Antonio Caetano de Abreu Preire Egas Moniz, famous Portuguese neurologist regarded as one of the founders of modern psychosurgery. The reverse side of the banknote has the wording DEZ MIL ESCUDOS.
