This 10 Rubles coin was a commemorative bimetallic issue of the Russian Rubles system, struck in 2000. It combines a copper-nickel centre within a brass ring, and weighs 8.40 g with a diameter of 27.0 mm. Round in shape, it was issued to mark the 55th anniversary of the Great Victory and incorporates a latent security image within its design.

The obverse shows in the centre the face value “10 РУБЛЕЙ” (10 ROUBLES). Inside the figure “0” are hidden images of the figure “10” and the inscription “РУБЛЕЙ” (ROUBLES), visible by turns only when the angle of vision is changed. In the lower part of the disc is the mint trade mark. Along the rim, the upper part of the ring bears the inscription “БАНК РОССИИ” (BANK OF RUSSIA) and the lower part the date “2000”, with stylised twigs of plants to the left and right running over onto the disc.

The reverse reproduces Max Alpert’s photograph “Kombat” of Junior Politruk Aleksei Yeryomenko, together with an outline of a five-pointed star passing from the disc onto the ring. Along the rim, the upper part of the ring bears the inscription “55 ЛЕТ ВЕЛИКОЙ ПОБЕДЫ” (55TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE GREAT VICTORY), and the lower part the dates “1941” “1945”.
