This 10 Rubles coin was a circulation piece of the Russian Rubles system, struck between 2009 and 2015. It was made of brass plated steel, giving it a golden finish over a steel core, and weighed 5.63 g with a diameter of 22 mm. Round in shape, it served as a higher-value circulation coin in Russia and incorporated a latent security image before being withdrawn.

The obverse features in the centre the emblem of the Bank of Russia, a double-headed eagle with open wings, beneath which runs the semicircular legend “БАНК РОССИИ” (Bank of Russia). A floral design in the form of branches with intertwining stems runs along the edges.
