On the obverse, the state coat of arms of Singapore is shown — a shield bearing a crescent and five stars, supported by a lion and a tiger, above the motto scroll ‘MAJULAH SINGAPURA’ — with the country name ‘SINGAPORE’, the year, and the value.
On the reverse, the periwinkle flower (Lochnera rosea) forms the central motif, drawn from the plants-and-flowers theme of the Second Series, accompanied by the denomination.
