The 10 won is a small everyday denomination of the South Korean won. This 1999 coin is of the earlier brass type, larger and heavier than the version introduced later, with a warm golden colour and a plain edge. On the obverse, the coin shows the Dabotap pagoda at Bulguksa Temple in Gyeongju, an ornate granite pagoda counted among Korea’s national treasures. The value “10” and the issuing authority are given in Korean around the design.
