25 Spanish Pesetas First Issued 1990

The Banco de España issued Spanish Peseta coins in different denominations. Included in this series of Spanish Peseta coins is this Spanish 25 Pesetas coin. These 25 ESP coins were first issued by the Banco de España in 1990 and in 2002 were withdrawn from circulation.
This 25 ESP is aluminium bronze, weighs 4.2g and has a hole through the centre. The obverse side of the 25 ESP coin had many variations, and each design was commemorative, celebrating events or people. One notable design is the Barcelona 1992 Olympics. The reverse side shows the value at the bottom.
