On the reverse of the note is an elaborate ornamental design with the value “50” displayed in three languages — Cinquante Francs, Fünfzig Franken and Cinquanta Franchi. The reverse also features two classical profile portraits facing inward and intricate geometric patterns typical of early twentieth-century Swiss banknote printing.
