About Thai Baht Exchange
The Thai Baht (THB) is the official currency of Thailand, one of Southeast Asia’s most popular destinations for British travellers. We accept all denominations of Thai Baht banknotes and coins, including older series and damaged notes.
Current Thai Baht Banknotes
Thailand’s current banknote series features a range of denominations, all prominently featuring the Thai monarchy and produced with modern security features including watermarks, security threads, and colour-shifting ink. We accept all current Thai Baht banknotes, including the 500 Baht note and the 1,000 Baht note, as well as smaller denominations such as the 20 and 50 Baht notes. Whether you’ve returned from Bangkok or Chiang Mai with a mixture of notes, we’ll exchange whatever you have.
Old Series & Damaged Notes
Unlike most high street exchanges, we also accept older and withdrawn Thai Baht banknotes, including the 50 Baht note issued in 2004 and the 100 Baht note issued in 2004. Damaged notes are accepted provided they remain at least 50% intact, though the rate offered may be slightly lower than for undamaged currency. If you’re unsure whether your notes qualify, send them in and we’ll assess them on your behalf.
Thai Baht Coins
We accept Thai Baht coins across a range of denominations, including the 10 Baht coin and smaller values such as the 1 Baht coin. Because coins are more costly to process and transport than banknotes, the exchange rate offered is slightly lower, but it’s far better than leaving them unused. Thailand neighbours other popular destinations, so if you also have leftover Malaysian Ringgit or Vietnamese Dong from the same trip, we can exchange those too.
