The 5 millimes is a small fractional denomination of the Tunisian currency, part of the millime system in which 1,000 millimes make up one dinar, established when the dinar was introduced in 1960. It was struck in lightweight aluminium with a bright silvery surface, a thin, low-value coin intended for minor everyday change. As one of the smallest units it has largely dropped out of practical circulation.

On the obverse, the coin shows a spreading oak tree with a dense leafy crown standing on open ground, surrounded by an Arabic inscription for the Central Bank of Tunisia and the date “1960” set beneath the tree.

On the reverse, a large numeral “5” fills the centre, enclosed by two olive branches heavy with fruit that curve up from the base to form a wreath. An Arabic inscription reading “five millimes” runs along the lower edge within the beaded border.
