Old Turkish lira banknotes were issued in different denominations by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey including this 250000 old Turkish lira banknote. This 250 000 TRL banknote forms part of the obsolete series of Old Turkish lira banknotes. This 250 000 TRL banknote was issued in 1998 and in 2006 were withdrawn from circulation in Turkey.
This 250 000 old Turkish lira banknote is prominently blue in colour. On the obverse side is an effigy of President Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. On the reverse side is the historical Red Tower in Alanya. Due to hyperinflation in Turley, this 250 000 was replaced with new Turkish Lira worth 0.25 in 2005.
