2 Kopiyky coin (National Arms in Wreath, Stainless Steel)

2 Kopiyky — National Arms in Wreath, Stainless Steel (Issued 2001-2018)

The 2 Kopiyky was a circulation coin of Ukraine struck between 2001 and 2018 and now withdrawn. It was made in stainless steel, giving it a durable silvery finish, and it is a small, light piece weighing 1.8 g and measuring 17.3 mm across. Round in shape, it served as low-value small change within the Ukrainian Hryvnia system. Its stainless steel construction suited a coin intended for heavy everyday handling.

The obverse carries the national arms, with the legend “Україна 2010” (Ukraine 2010) naming the country and the year of striking. The design is simple, centred on the state emblem.

The reverse shows the value within a wreath, with the lettering “2 копійки” (2 Kopiikas) stating the denomination. The wreath frames the numeral.
